Levis Japan has recently announced the opening of "Cinch Tokyo" a new luxury concept store in Tokyo's Minami-Aoyama, a district known for high end, cutting-edge fashion. The store is the first of its kind in Japan.
Approximately 1500 pairs of top quality, luxury jeans are available in the shop. Designs include many influenced by European styles as well as collaborative creations by Levis and other parties, such as a French rock band. Next to the entrance, a display offers jeans inspired by world-renown artist Damien Hirst, on sale for 26,000 USD (2.6MM JPY). Another pair of Jeans made in 1917 is on sale in the shop for 1,600 USD (1.6MM JPY). With only 150 pairs available in the country, these 1917 vintage jeans are considered an extremely rare find. In addition, women's satin goods, dresses, and even orange-wash jeans are on display.
The rare and unique product displays are designed to Tokyo's elite jeans fans including many well-known musicians and athletes.
