Godiva opens brand's first cafe in Japan

Luxury chocolatier Godiva has announced the launch of it's first "Godiva cafe." The cafe, the first in Japan for this chocolate

The two story cafe is designed for the purchase take-out on items on the first floor. The second floor will feature seating for those who wish to dine-in. Cafe themes revolve around "treating oneself in style."

The cafe's flagship product is a chocolate-based beverage dubbed "Chocolixir" from the words "chocolate" and "elixir." A "Caramel Cinnamon Marshmallow Chocolixir" will also be offered to Japanese consumers for a limited time from opening day until March 31 for approximately 5 USD.

According to those connected to the new Godiva Cafe "Chocolixir" is made from a chocolate base rather than coffee, giving it a much richer chocolate flavor than a Starbucks' Frappuccino.
