On July 11th the new iPhone was made available for sale at Softbank Japan's trendy Omotesando location, and just down the street at the Louis Vuitton flagship store tie-in products have also recently been unveiled – specially designed cases for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The luxury brand goods are considered to be of the finest quality and styling and give a more premium look to the electronics. To date many cases have already been made by Louis Vuitton for the iPod, however these newly designed cases arrived in time to coincide with the release of the new iPhones.
The design is decidedly simple with two types available in Japan, both signature Vuitton styling – Taiga leather and monogram canvas. The case is compact and feels comfortable in-hand and slips easily into the pocket. The monogram retails for ¥30,450 and the Taiga leather, which can be fastened to your belt, sells for ¥34,650.
Outside of Japan other variations have already been introduced such as the etui iPhone&iPod cases made from "epi leather" and the possibility remains that more variations will soon be available in Japan.
