ANA Orders 77 Aircrafts for Over 2 Trillion JPY
ANA Holdings, which owns Japan’s leading airline ANA, announced on February 25 that it will procure a total of 77 aircraft from three companies: Boeing of the United States, Airbus of Europe, and Embraer of Brazil.
The company has positioned international flights as a growth area, including the expansion of inbound demand, and the introduction of the new aircraft is expected to lay the groundwork for sustainable growth.
By increasing the number of small and medium-sized aircraft, the company also aims to improve profitability by flexibly responding to fluctuations in demand on domestic routes.
Due in part to the COVID-19 disaster, the company has been holding back on renewing and ordering additional aircraft, but this order is expected to be the largest in its history.
