More businesses are introducing smartphone payments in Japan

Cashless payment services via smartphones such as scanning QR codes are spreading. Smartphone payment services are expected to reach 600 billion JPY in fiscal 2019. The amount of smartphone payment purchases is expected to expand to about 8 trillion JPY in fiscal 2023.
